Beautiful 'Bloomon' Campaign

The winter months are here. The days can be dreary and dark nights have started. And even though I love it, I struggle to find flowers that I like at this time of year (I'm all about the tulips and peonies). So, when Bloomon asked to send me a 3 month flower subscription I was bloody thrilled.

I believe we all need flowers in our lives, they just make things that little bit better.

Bloomon's flowers come directly from their growers, to your door to create those extra days of freshness.. and they really are beautiful and would make a fabulous gift for all flower lovers.

So here's how it works; Simply choose buy a gift card and add the amount of deliveries you would like and your recipient can select their own bouquet style and dates they would like them delivered by adding their gift code. You can also get the hand blown vase (featured above-worth £25) FOR FREE with your first order by entering  code; jovase

The delivery arrives standing upright in a box (in the vase, if you ordered it) in water and fully protected. Along with this fab book with tips on how to arrange and look after your flowers- I mean you can't really get it wrong with all the information thats provided. I feel like an actual florist now ;)

I took this pic one week on after I had a little re arrange and water change and they still look stunning!

Go to Bloomon to check them out.

All in all I've enjoyed faffing about with them and am much looking forward to my next delivery.
Ps. Don't forget to enter code 'jovase' for your freebie.

 Enjoy! x

Shearling jackets- The IT winter coat

"Oh hasn't it gone cold" a phrase thats on repeat atm and rightly so because it has gone bloody cold. So, I've pulled last years Zara shearling jacket out which I couldn't wait to do. Shearling is such a massive trend right now and there are so many options on the highstreet. I love that you can wear almost anything with it and still look cool and stylish yet keeping warm and snug too.

 My Style

I keep things pretty simple on a day to day basis. A lot of the time I'm in my "active wear" (yes I'm one of those Moms lol) in the hope that I might drag my arse to the gym. So I try and style my outfits around that and the shearling fits in pretty well with this look. Otherwise, I would be doing my usual jeans and boots combo- you can't go wrong really.

As I said before, I had the beige last year from Zara and loved it so much and got so much wear out of it, I wanted a black one. After some research I decided on the Tesco version. Its not as soft as the Zara one but is almost half the price and I'm all about a bargain. I suggest you size up (even twice) if you want it oversized.. which is how I like it.

Get the Look

Now, if you really want to go authentic on this look then get yourself to  a Vintage fair. I went to my local one at the weekend and there were so many proper vintage shearling coats that Del Boy would dream of.

Alternatively, here are my top highstreet picks.

Top left- Vero Moda at ASOS // Top right- Topshop // Bottom left- Zara // Bottom right- Stradivarius at ASOS.

Top left- New Look at ASOS // Top right- Boohoo // Bottom left- Matalan // Bottom right- Vila at ASOS.

So there you have it. The shearling aviator jacket is my "IT" coat of the season.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

Cosy Love

It's about that time... for me to do my annual Pyjama/loungewear/cosywear post. It's cold, it's dark, the scented candles are being lit, the hot chocolates are being Instagrammed- yep all the Hygge vibes! However, this time I will be mostly focusing on loungewear. Don't get me wrong, I still love a button down PJ but loungewear has taken my fancy lately.

I was very lucky to be gifted this lovely loungewear set from UK Lingerie. They sell a range of items from lingerie to nightwear, activewear to shape wear and obviously loungewear. I absolutely love this set and have barely taken it off so much so,  I have even wore it out of the house too a couple of times.. I can't bare to take it off tbh! It's beautifully soft and comfortable; It has thumbholes AND pockets in the leggings.. we all love a pocket don't we?!

Available at UKlingerie, I highly  recommend this set if you're seeking out some new comfy wear.

Autumn/Winter essentials

Autumn is here in all it's beautiful glory. The leaves are on the ground, the nights and mornings are getting darker (I'm finding it harder to get out of bed), pumpkins are in the shops and and I'm Clicking "interested" to every autumnal event I see on Facebook.. yes I love me some autumn! So, with that said, I think it's time to share my autumn/winter essentials.

It's pretty much the same items every year as I think it nice to have a refresh of new coat, boots, hats and knitwear. I love that look for AW.

Coats

Smart coat

A smart, tailored coat is a wardrobe essential. They give any outfit instant chicness. Whether worn with boots or trainers, a smart coat can work in all ways.

Top picks

Left- Zara // Middle- Topshop // Right- New Look at ASOS.

Fur coat

I love a bit of fur for feeling glam. Wear with jeans and boots for day wear and wear over an LBD or skinnys and cami for evening.

I also love how its worn with trainers in the pic below for a casual, edgy look.

Top Picks
Top left- Stradivarius at ASOS // Top right- H&M // Bottom left- H&M // Bottom right- ASOS

Zara (can't find it online anymore)

Puffer coat

Puffer coats are perfect for us Mom's. Excellent for school run and if, like me, you spend your weekends watching football matches/training in a field. Plus, they are warm and comfy for those "cba" days ;)

Top Picks

Left- Stradivarius at ASOS // Right- Zara

Knitwear

Oversized

I'm all about the oversized look especially when it comes to knitwear. Big, baggy sweaters and jumpers are just the best for AW. Great worn with jeans for casual and with leather or pleated skirt and ankle boots for more of a dressed up look.

Top Picks

H&M The page won't load for this so here is the code instead 0548388001

Hats

Hats are a fave of mine. I wear them a lot. So much so that a Grandma from the school used to call me "Hat lady" (which I fully embraced btw). I am thrilled the beret is coming back, I used wear one all the time in my late teens until I switched it to a beanie. You can't go wrong with either for the colder days and if you feel like adding an accessory.

Top Picks

Top left- Topshop // Top right- Topshop (argh can't find it online anymore but try in store) // Bottom left- Zara // Bottom right- Zara.

Ankle Boots

Ankle boots will always be needed. I usually go for a classic clean, black leather but I may change it up a bit this year and go for some studded Givenchy style ones. Failing that, you can't go wrong with classic black.

Top Picks

Top left- Topshop // Top right- Zara // Bottom left- Office // Bottom right- Office.

So, there we have my AW essentials. Lets look forward to some cold shall we?!

Hope that's given you some Autumn/Winter inspo.

Checked Blazer

I have aways been an advocate for a blazer. At one stage a blazer, jeans and T shirt was my signature style- I thank Victoria Beckham (circa 2002 ish) for the inspo.
So, the current checked blazer trend is really working for me. I love the versatility of a blazer and how it can be worn for smart and casual.

Here are some ideas..
